THE Thais have tried every trick in the book to unsettle Malaysia ahead of their AFF Suzuki Cup semi-final, second leg match at the Supachalasai Stadium in Bangkok today.
On Tuesday, they sent Malaysia to train at the water-logged Jaran Buraparat pitch. The goal posts were rusty and the nets were torn. On top of that, the players had to change by the roadside as there were no toilets or changing rooms at the training ground.

Yesterday, the Malaysians were supposed to train at the match venue Supachalasai Stadium as was the prerequisite. But, guess what?
They were sent to train at another pitch instead because they wanted to make sure the pitch at the stadium will be in tip-top shape for the match.
One can only deduce that the War Elephants are running scared of the Harimau Muda. For why else would they resort to such underhand tactics?
Frankly, they need not stoop so low as the Thais, coached by German Winfried Schaefer, hold the advantage. All they need is a goalless draw to advance to the final.

Malaysia, the defending champions, however, need a win or draw 2-2.
National coach Datuk K. Rajagopal continued to take things in his stride although his men could not train on and familiarise themselves with the Supachalasai Stadium.
Perhaps it has to do with the fact that hes got some great news on the injury front, with wingers Wan Zack Haikal Wan Nor and Khyril Muhymeen Zambri and midfielder Shakir Shaari returning to full training after missing the first leg through injuries.

Rajagopal believes that his team have nothing to lose tonight.
We have players returning from injury
I will consult the team doctor and physiotherapist to see if theyll be available for selection, said Rajagopal, after the teams training session at the Dhebhasadin Stadium yesterday.
We cant risk fielding the trio
they might get injured again. The players are all fired up and we do not fear the Thais.
I believe that, whoever is picked to play will give his best. We will see how the Thais play and adapt accordingly.

Schaefer, who wont be on the Thai bench after being sent off in the first leg, said that his team would cut out Malaysias long balls into the box.
The former Cameroon coach is also hoping that the home fans will throng the stadium to support the War Elephants.
Well go for a win. I have a faith in my players and they know what to do tomorrow (today), he said.
We failed to deal with their long-ball tactics and conceded a goal in Kuala Lumpur
but we are at home now and well play our brand of football.
So, come on Harimau Muda. Lets show the Thais that whatever they do to us, well do our talking on the pitch even if it is water-logged!

เพราะฉนั้น จงสู้ Harimau Muda มาแสดงให้พวกไทยเห็นว่าไม่ว่าเขาจะทำอะไรกับเรา เราจะเอาชนะในสนาม แม้ว่าสนามนั้นจะน้ำขังก็ตาม!
